Originally from Scotland I have lived in Nelson for the past 29 years. I so appreciate the great lifestyle I have here with my husband two dogs and two cats.
I come from a very creative family and have always loved to draw and paint using various mediums. I am mainly self taught and enjoy continuing to learn with every painting I do. My passion is with colour shape depth and pattern. My most recent works are in oil and tend to focus on my obsession with the beauty and form of flowers from my garden- how each petal has a beauty of its own and how the light creates drama in colour changes and shapes in the shadows. I have also recently enjoyed including birds and insects with a bit of quirkiness along the way. My painting continues to evolve and I relish every moment of the process that always takes me on a journey I never intended to go on. I sell my work through galleries and online to both local and international buyers. |
