Gallery Sales Coordinator
Kaye McLean
A lot of my working life, I have been involved in hospitality. Being in this role has enabled me to work with the public which I find both rewarding, and a great challenge. So, moving to Picton from rural Porangahau in the Central Hawkes Bay has been a refreshing change, where I studied for two years with the Te Wananga O Aotearoa, gaining a diploma in Toi Paematua. My chosen application, Raranga was amazing, and during this time, I started my journey in working as a sales consultant at Raukura Gallery, Picton. My role there is to consult with customers, and help meet their 'Art' needs is incredibly rewarding. Often they know what they want, it's having someone give them the confidence to run with colour, boldness etc.
Gallery Sales Coordinator
Marilyn Jessop
Painting has been Marilyn's life-long passion – starting at the age of eleven when she fell in love capturing colour on canvas, which began her journey in becoming an artist. She has previously owned her own art gallery and exhibited her work at shows in both Marlborough and Nelson.
She now sell's her work at Raukura Gallery, Picton, where she is also a Gallery Sales Coordinator. Part of her role at the gallery is sourcing new emerging artists throughout New Zealand which she find's challenging and rewarding.
Marilyn's life long passion is art, where she is able to express, create and explore.
