ARTIST'S BIO:

ANDIE KING

I am a Queenstown based artist whose artworks are inspired by the beauty of the mountains, lakes and rivers surrounding me in the beautiful Wakatipu District. I am drawn to nature, and these are the elements in which I draw inspiration from.
I am heavily influenced by the beauty of distressed and aging paint/objects with an industrial twist.  I work with acrylic on objects such as textured canvases, wood, and more recently on riveted recycled aluminium panels. I choose to work predominately with a mix of neutral and rustic colours, occasionally adding a touch of vibrancy to accent a more subdued scene.
 As a self taught artist, every painting takes me on a journey of learning and discovery.
