Glynn Davies was born and raised in Marlborough. He still lives in Marlborough where he has made Blenhiem his home.
As a teenager Glynn spent a lot of time drawing and being creative, and art was one thing he excelled at. After leaving school he never picked up a paint brush again until 2006, where he felt the creative pull, and was compelled to take up art again. And there has been no looking back since then! He is self taught, and paints predominately in oil. When he paints, he does it with an intensity where he constantly aims for improvement. Painting has become a passion where he continues to work on developing his style, working with form, colour, light and discovering new techniques. Creating realistic paintings in oil is what Glynn focuses on, particularly doing sea, landscapes, and portraiture. |
